Coverage on Bershire's Arts Indie 2013
Arts Indie posted about Wayne Kickery and the other artists from Armory Studios as part of their 'ArtsWalk' tour earlier this year.
Their work was displayed at The Berkshire Community College and garnered a lot of attention!!
Go to : http://artsindie.com/?p=1178
"Meanwhile, in the BCC Intermodal Gallery, a large-scale display of a more distinctively dark nature will be hanging for the month of April. This exhibit features the work of Armory Studio tattoo artists Jim Squires, Emrys Yetz, Wayne Kickery, and Brad Briggs."
Do you recognize any of the pieces??

Tattooing
What does tattooing mean to you?
"Tattooing is the most intimate art form there is. You are working directly on a person.. making a permanent modification to another human being's body..'
What is your tattooing style?
"I prefer stylized and dramatic compositions especially in large scale pieces. I like American traditional, Japanese style, new School. I can do Realism but it isn't one of my favorite styles"

How did he get into Tattooing?
"To be honest? Blind Luck!!"
He had always been intrigued by arts and how it applied to tattoos. He had also been drawing and painting since he was around eight years old but there was no grand plan to become a Tattoo Artist himself, much less to pursue it professionally.
A friend introduced him many years ago to the awesome Jim Squires, who now has over 22 years of experience under his belt. Jimmy asked to see some of his work and when Wayne brought out his portfolio, he was apparently impressed enough to offer up an immediate apprenticeship!!
As he likes to say "I fell into Tattooing by chance, but then fell in love with it and now cannot imagine my life without it!"

This blog was created for WAYNE KICKERY, a pretty talented Tattoo Artist who lives & works in Adams, MA.
He has (albeit very reluctantly and after a lot of coaxing and threatening) agreed to keep this blog going in order to grow his Online Presence and Personal Brand as a Tattooist.
We will attempt to share pictures, sketches, ideas, tips and anything else we think might be interesting.
Those of you who know him can already vouch for how professional and creative he is.
Those of you who don't know him - What the Hell are you waiting for?? Come on over, get to know him and get tattoo'd by him!
